Dr. Bhim Singh received the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from the University of Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 1977, and M.Tech. (Power Apparatus and Systems) and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), New Delhi, India, in 1979 and 1983, respectively.

In 1983, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Roorkee, as a Lecturer. He became a Reader there in 1988. In December 1990, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi, India, as an Assistant Professor. Where he has became an Associate Professor in 1994 and a Professor in 1997. He has been ABB Chair Professor from September 2007 to September 2012. Since October 2012, he is a CEA Chair Professor. He has received Khosla Research Prize of University of Roorkee in the year 1991. He is recipient of JC Bose and Bimal K Bose awards of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) for his contribution in the field of Power Electronics. He is also a recipient of Maharashtra State National Award of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) in recognition of his outstanding research work in the area of Power Quality. He has received PES Delhi Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award for the year 2006. Professor Singh has also received Khosla National Research Award of IIT Roorkee in the year 2013. He has been the General Chair of the IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES’2006), Co-General Chair of (PEDES’2010) held in New Delhi.

He has guided 58 Ph.D. dissertations 156 ME/M.Tech. Theses and 65 BE/B.Tech. Projects. He has been granted one US patent and filed fifteen Indian patents. He has executed more than seventy sponsored and consultancy projects. His fields of interest include power electronics, electrical machines, electric drives, power quality, renewable energy, FACTS (flexible ac transmission systems), HVDC (High voltage direct current) transmission systems. Prof. Singh is a Fellow of The Indian National Science Academy (FNA), the Indian National Academy of Engineering (FNAE), The National Academy of Science, India (FNASc), The Indian Academy of Sciences, India (FASc), The World Academy of Sciences (FTWAS), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FIEEE), the Institute of Engineering and Technology (FIET), Institution of Engineers (India) (FIE), and Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE) and a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), System Society of India (SSI), and National Institution of Quality and Reliability (NIQR).

Amjad Anvari-Moghaddam received the B.Sc. degree (Hon.) from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree (Hon.) from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree (Hon.) from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2015 all in Power Systems Engineering. In 2014, he was a Visiting researcher with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark.From Feb. 2014 to sept. 2015 he served asdirector board member of MOHANIR Eng. Consulting Company A/S, South-Khorasan Province, Iran.In 2015, he also served as a senior Electrical Engineer at I-EMS Group at Center for Urban Energy (iCUE), Ryerson University, Canada.

Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University.His research interests are oriented to different microgrid aspects, including, distributed energy-storage systems, hierarchical and cooperative control, energy management systems, smart metering and the internet of things for AC/DC microgrid clusters and islanded minigrids; recently specially focused on maritime microgrids for electrical ships, vessels, ferries and seaports.He has authored and co-authored 6 book chapters and more than 50 technical papers in Microgrids.

Dr. Anvari-Moghaddam is also the Guest Editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL INFORMATICS Special Issues: “Next Generation Intelligent Maritime Grids” and the APPLIED SCIENCES Special Issue: “Advances in Integrated Energy Systems Design, Control and Optimization”. He is also a member of Technical Committee of Renewable Energy Systems, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society,IEEE Power & Energy Society, IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Smart Grid Community and the technical committee member of 10th IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (iThings-2017).

Dr. Anil Sahai, PhD, MBA has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry managing engineering and business organizations at Fortune 500 companies like Amdahl/Fujitsu,Compaq, Intel, and Apple. In 1999, Anil founded Ezyte Inc., offering products and services in the areas of performance modeling and capacity planning. He developed the performance architecture of the wireless portal for Vodafone in 128 countries. He also consulted with various government and private organizations all over Africa in developing national IT strategies and capacity building. In March 2004, following the acquisition of Ezyte, he joined Procera Networks, a public company, as its Executive Vice-President and CTO. At Procera, he managed operations, engineering, marketing, product-management, and support organizations. Anil founded AndesITUSA in 2006 offering business strategy consulting as well as professional services in the areas of IT Strategy, Services Management, capacity planning, performance testing, monitoring and management for enterprise networks and applications. He has consulted with companies in the Healthcare, Telecom, Security, IT, Financial, Airlines and Retail industries in US, Africa, Middle East and South America. He has worked extensively with VCs, private and institutional investors, and raised $M from private (angel), VC Funds and PIPEs through hedge funds. Anil has also been a visiting faculty in the department of computer science at Oregon Graduate Institute, Aizu University (Japan), Fudan University (Shanghai, China), and University of California teaching graduate courses in computer science as well as in technology management. Recently, he was a professor of computer science and Dean of Institute of Engineering & Technology at Ahmedabad University in India where he led the design of engineering curricula, developed administrative processes, developed various interdisciplinary courses across departments, worked thru various certifications (UGC, AICTE, NAAC, etc.) and developed relationships with various industry houses.

Anil has a PhD. in Computer Science from University of California, M.S. in Computer Science from University of Pittsburgh, M.S. in Mathematics/OR from Ohio University, and B.A. (Honors) in Mathematics from St.Stephen’s College in Delhi, India. Anil also has a Masters from Sloan School of Management at MIT with specialization in International Corporate Strategies and New Product Development. Anil has published in various research and business journals, and has given presentations and seminars all over the world. Presently, he is a partner at MidWayGrowth Partners – a consulting venture firm assisting high growth startups in US, India and Africa, and Chief Technology Officer of PayQwick – a FinTech Company in California. He also serves on the board of a mobile app/platform company startup offering location based Just-in-Time marketing and advertising and market intelligence using data analytics and social media.

Dr. V. N. Also to state that, I had delivered  more than 70+ Guest/ Invited/ Keynote lectures/ addresses  over years  to  EEE/ECE/EIE/ Nanotechnology/VLSI /  (B.E & M.Tech) students in various Universities/ NITs/ Engineering Colleges ( IEEE-Students Chapters/MRSI/SSI/IACG / Techno-Fests. etc.  forums/ meetings/ Departments/  ) in AP, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Orissa etc. broadly covering  the  principles and current  practices  &  trends   in  advanced  micro-optoelectronic  &  nano  electronic   materials, crystals manufacturing / VLSI/processing, device  fabrication,  class clean packaging   technologies, solar energy and nano-materials.
